You heard that? That’s from The Lion King.
You see that? Those numbers? That’s how long I have to wait before I fly to Kenya for my long overdue Safari Trip!
Yipee!
When I told the Board of Directors yesterday of my trip, I emailed everyone my itinerary and receipts from my travel agent. If they were to decline, at least, I will make them do it with a heavy heart. As I write this, I am thinking “would I really forego this had they presented a solid business case for me to stay?” Part of me says “yes” because I have always been a faithful soldier and part of me says “no” because I’ve stalled on this far too long already...but that’s just all hypothetical now. I am sure glad they didn’t have any objections, only one reminder that I’ve got to be online on certain hours (yeah, like I ever left for anywhere in this world without my Mac!). They were just shocked to know it’s Africa I am going to.
Yipee!
In this section, as I promised, I’ll share with you every step of the way what a Safari-novice like me went through to make this finally happen. I know you’d rather read up on an Expert’s experience but I thought there is as much to learn from a beginner.
And besides, experts most of time only give you half the equation which is “what to do”. They sometimes contrast it with “what not to do” but that doesn’t give the story in full circle!
Experiencing “what not to do” is part of the fun (God, I can’t believe I said that!).
